Where to stay.

Rest and relaxation should always be the first thing on your list of to-do’s and one of the best places to do that in Chimney Rock is the Broad River Inn. The Inn is conveniently located within walking distance to everything in town. Affordably priced, the room was great and the staff was super nice.

What to do in Chimney Rock.

Take a day to visit the Chimney Rock State Park. The elevator will take you to the chimney but you will have to do some stair climbing and hiking to see the waterfall and all the other views that the park has to offer.

Do some mining at the gemstone mine. You won’t leave empty handed when you visit this gem mine.

Have a round of putt putt at Chimney Rock Adventure Golf. FYI, this is also at the Broad River Inn.

Stroll the riverwalk. Soak in all the sounds and beauty that surrounds you while walking by the river.

Take a Lake Lure boat tour. Just minutes away from Chimney Rock, you can visit where much of the famous “Dirty Dancing” movie was filmed or walk the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge.

Eat, drink and shop the village. RiverWatch was one great places we stopped at to grab a burger, drink and some live entertainment. From local art to fudge, you can find about anything in this small village, maybe even bigfoot.
