About me
👑Hello, I’m Shannon Rhymer the owner and blogger for Southern Royalty. Raised in the small town of Six Mile, I would always say it was at least six miles away from everything. As a kid, I spent a lot of time with my grandparents helping them with the garden and learning the country lifestyle. As I grew up, I moved away from that small town and lifestyle, got married and started working in the automotive industry. Over the years, I have divorced and remarried into a blended family that included: my three sons, my husband’s two daughters and one son. Although we never had any children together, our family has grown so much. We are now blessed with 7 wonderful grandkids and two great daughter-in-laws to boot. With all our kids grown and gone, it brought me back to what I have always loved to do…..write.
They say that you will always return to your roots and that has been true for me. I love the laid back and simple life of the South and writing so I decided to bridge the gap and bring them together with a lifestyle blog. I started back in 2018 with my first blog Ssouthernlifestyle, which brought me to where I am today. This journey of being a blogger, influencer, traveler and writer continues to be such a blessing!
I love traveling with my husband on new adventures, visiting festivals and finding unique items along the way. When I’m not loafering around, you can find me at home watching TV, writing, reading, or checking out a new product. I enjoy sharing my experiences with others and inspiring them to live a positive and fulfilling lifestyle. I do what I love and love what I do.
About Southern Royalty
You already know that southern means “down south” but did you know that the first definition given when I looked up royalty is “royal status or power“? Southern Royalty represents living a royal lifestyle here in the South. You don’t have to be titled royal to live a royal lifestyle. Aren’t you queen or king of your own house? It’s a state of mind that you choose to be royal and enjoy all the deliciousness that life has to offer because you are worth it. That’s what Southern Royalty is all about.
