About Southern Royalty 👑
Hi there, I’m Shannon Rhymer, the heart and voice behind Southern Royalty. Born and raised in the small town of Six Mile, South Carolina—a place so tucked away it really was at least six miles from everything—I grew up embracing the charm and grit of Southern living. My childhood was spent barefoot in the garden with my grandparents, learning to appreciate the value of family, faith, and fresh-picked tomatoes.
Life took me far from those country roots for a time—into the fast lane of the automotive industry, through the ups and downs of love and life, and into a beautiful, blended family with my three sons, my husband’s three children, and now seven amazing grandkids. With our nest now empty (except for the occasional grandbaby giggle), I’ve returned to where my soul feels most at home: writing about the Southern lifestyle I love so much.
In 2018, I launched my first blog, Ssouthernlifestyle, which paved the way for what you see today: Southern Royalty—a lifestyle brand that celebrates the simple joys, deep roots, and everyday elegance of living life with intention and heart in the South.
What Is Southern Royalty?
At its core, Southern Royalty is about living well and loving deeply—not because of a crown on your head, but because of the mindset you choose. You don’t need royal blood to live royally.
